The course is aimed at parents, carers and grandparents and will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to help a baby or child with both minor and major illnesses in the first instance until medical help arrives.

Delivered by is Sarah Ingamells, a qualified teacher and first aid trainer with over 8 years experience in education working in health and social care, with individuals from the ages of 6 to 60 with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.

Throughout Sarah’s time in education she has taught on a range of health and social care and first aid courses, as well as training apprentices and teaching on 16-18 study programme courses.

Whats the programme duration?

The course is 2 hours in long with a maximum of 12 attendees per session to ensure that everyone can complete practical elements of the course.

 

What does to course look like?

There are many practical elements to the session to ensure that it is fun, interactive and engaging, attendees will have the opportunity to practice skills such as CPR, bandaging and they will even be able to replicate how to deal with a choking casualty using choke vests.
